Properties
A white crystalline powder with a sweet smell which is often described as caramelized sugar and sweet fruit in dilute solution.
1g of Ethyl Maltol dissolves in 55ml of water; 10ml of Ethanol;17ml of Propylene Glycol and 5ml of Chloroform.

Application
Ethyl Maltol is a safe, nontoxic and widely used aromatic food additive. Only a small amount is needed to achieve a significant effect. It has a remarkable effect on improving and enhancing the flavor of food, and it also increases the sweetness of certain food. Ethyl Maltol also could effectively extend the food expiration date.
