Product Description

Rutin is the rutinoside of the flavonol compound quercetin, a flavonoid compound extracted from plants. In the legume acacia (SophorajaponicaL.) flower buds acacia rice, the content of up to 20% or more, is the main raw material for the pharmaceutical industry to extract rutin. Rutin can be decomposed with water in case of strong acidity and alkalinity. It is unstable in colour in alkaline food and has antioxidant ability. In ethanol can improve the light resistance of pigment preparations, prevent the gradual disappearance or change of fragrance, and vitamin E and other combinations can improve its antioxidant capacity. The inhibition of lipid peroxidation reaction of rutin is related to its enhancement of body SOD activity and promotion of oxygen radical scavenging. Rutin has a strong scavenging effect on O2-, and the scavenging efficiency can reach more than 96%. As a chelating agent of Fe2+, rutin can inhibit the chain reaction of Fenton reaction and lipid peroxidation and has obvious anti-lipid peroxidation effect.
Vitamin P-like effect, with the maintenance of vascular resistance, reduce its permeability, reduce the role of brittleness, for the prevention and treatment of hypertensive cerebral haemorrhage, diabetic retinal haemorrhage and haemorrhagic purpura, etc., but also used as food antioxidants and pigments.
