MTT is a thiazole heterocyclic compounds, containing the active sulfur atoms. MTT can produce cross-linking with the halogen-containing high-molecular polymer.
MTT is suitable for chlorinated butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber vulcanization cross -linking. Particularly, MTT can be used as the efficient accelerator for chloroprene rubber.
Compared with ETU, MTT does not produce mustard gas, with fast vulcanizing speed. MTT has maintained the good physical properties and anti-aging properties of ETU for chlorinated neoprene rubber at the same time, but also improve the scorch properties and operational safety, and both fast vulcanization characteristics. MTT is easy to disperse in the rubber, no pollution, no discoloration, usually used in the manufacture of cables, tape, rubber shoes, tires, color products.
Properties: Sulfur accelerator MTT is light yellow powder, soluble in toluene, methanol, slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in gasoline and water.
